Hello guys! *wave* Apologize for the infrequent update recently, December was indeed the most busy month of the year! Full of festive, holidays and of cause celebrations! This post is to update you guys about the "Christmas Cup Cake Workshop" organize by At 19 Culinary Studio together with Butterfly Project Malaysia

Thank You Tammy (Founder of The Butterfly Project) for inviting me to this workshop! I have gained so much learning about baking~ woohoo~ ☺ and also photographer of the day! ❤

Suraiya is our instructor, before we begins to bake she guide and explain to us step-by-step of the cup cake baking process.

Get ready all the ingredients such as caster sugar, large eggs, butter, vanilla essence and etc.

First, we have to whisk the cocoa powder, food coloring and 1/4 cup of boiling water in a medium bowl and set it aside to cool.

Nay! You don't get to rest when you starts to bake, so continue with the following step which is with the help of a mixer, put the cream butter to mix it until smooth (like a vanilla ice-cream) , it takes about 5 to 10 minutes before adding in the eggs, one at a time.

Then, we gotta stir the milk and vanilla into the cocoa mixture, while at the same time we have to sift the flour and salt in another bowl. Make sure the speed of the mixer is low then we will alternatively put in the cocoa mixture and the flour mixture.

Slowly the speed will increase until the mixture is incorporated. woohoo! we are almost there, it seems easy but it ain't for a baking-noobie like me ☹

My team-members! One last step spoon the batter into the small cases which is to mix the vinegar and baking until the baking soda dissolves, in a small bowl. Slowly put it into the batter and mix it with the paddle attachment.

Now we start to fill the "cup" till 3/4 full and bake it for approximately 20 minutes.

Not sure whether it is fully baked? btw, we are making red velvet cupcake! tee-hee

Tips: Take a toothpick and poke the cupcake, if the toothpick comes out clean means it is done.

Yayy! Get ready to decorate your cupcakes with fondant!

Tips: Avoid direct contact with water when using fondant to decorate.

We are provided with some small useful tools to help out in the decoration! For 2D these tools are awesome but if you love to go for 3D then it is a little bit challenging!

After struggling for some time, my not-so-master master piece *haha* It ain't easy to make! Please stop complaining about the price of the fondant cakes or cupcakes! It takes a lot of effort and time to make, please be grateful and appreciate.

After I have experience it on myself, though it is just a simple decorations but it takes quite some time.

Everyone was making Christmas decorations and I seems like the only one that is using flower to decorate! *haha* Yay! I'm doing for Chinese New Year *chuckle*

Indeed, it was a great experience after all with "At 19 Culinary Studio" and of cause "Butterfly Project Malaysia" for the opportunity to learn something new.

I might not have the chance to do this again at home, but I hope this post is helpful for baking-lovers that would like to do Red Velvet Cupcake! ❤
